Pem Dorji initially began his schooling from Sainik School Purulia, West Bengal, India and in Ugyen Academy, Punakha till his Pre University II and then continued for Bachelors Degree in Acharya Institute of Management and Science (AIMS), Bangalore for Bachelor in Business Management, which he successfully completed. Apart from his above achievements, He has worked under the Ministry Of Agriculture for 45 days assisting Chief Human Resource Officer for Agricultural Marketing Service. Also completed course on Occupational Health And Safety, conducted jointly by Ministry of Labour and Human Resource and the Institute for Management Studies (IMS)., Olakha, Thimphu in the year 2009 and as well he took part in the Social Charitable Cause as a member of Help Shoe Bhutan (HSB), A Shoe Vival Initiative. He also took part in a National Talent Hunt Show as a Show Director and as well Production Manager organized by Mila Communication.
On vacations he works in Travel Agent and having pleased and fascinated with the work manners in Tourism then began getting closer to the Industry and worked as a Bag Packers with Tourist on tours to learn how one guides and assist Tourist. He then purposed the concern Agents to work as a Tourist Guide on occasions should they need. With time he gained confidence and then worked as Fledged Tourist Guide and went on trek as well. He has also completed the Training of Trainers (TOT) on Interpretive Guide on Community based Eco Tourism in the year 2012.
After 13 long years of guiding, he has become the Board Member of Guide Association of Bhutan and now he owns this Travel Agent – Drukgyal Adventure
